I worked SU9VB back in June of 2011 and sent a card. That card must have been "lost", but the QSO was in one of the last batches that Vlad uploaded to LoTW.

I had no problems with E40VB and Paypal.

Just worked him on 15m.  He does not have the crushing signal he had on 40 last night, but it is better than nothing.  I hope I can get him 10-80 while he is there.  Isn't there a few bands Egyptians can't utilize?

30m, 80m, 6m and all VHF.

Vlad also does RTTY so be on the lookout for that.  SSB is the only mode I'm missing for SU.

Well I guess a clean sweep of SU is easier than I thought.

Tnx for the info guys. I've worked him a number of times over the years and have one LoTW confirmation. Never PayPal'ed him since he didn't mention a specific amount.

Keep in mind that a lot of SU stations will soon be on the air and they will likely upload to LoTW:

Vlad is simply a great operator and he seems to pull my call out on the first over all the time.  I think I have worked Vlad from Egypt on all 5 bands from 10 through 20 both CW and Phone and I have 5 new contacts with him in 2013 alone.  I'll have to start working him on the lower bands now.

Vlad is a world class operator, short and simple!  I received his Egyptian and Palestinian QSL cards in a short time. I wish all DX made it so easy as Vlad.

I emailed him about Paypal and told me what I wanted. I think it was $2-3.

Also, he is pretty big on helping people get Egypt as a new country. He always asked on the air for people looking for new country.

He is great! Easy to get confirmed in a timely manner. I agree about wanting all DX be this easy to get confirmed. I worked him in Egypt, Palestine and another last year.

I often wonder what equipment he uses. Does he have some kind of signal enhancer? I have called a dozen stations in his general area with no success on 12 meters (remember I'm QRP and some days are like that), but I worked Vlad for a new counter on 12 meters. And this is not the exception. I have worked him around the world many times when I could barely hear him. Whatever he uses, I need one!!!!

He told me $3 minimum. That's actually lower than $5 others are asking for OQRS.

I do not recall for sure. I just know he got it to me immediately.

Assuming you have a Paypal account, just type in his e-mail address as the receiver.  There will be a box where you could put comments to be included along with the payment.  Put your contact info. in the box and you'll be good to go.  It's not as easy as OQSL but Vlad makes QSL'ing very easy and fast.  I remember getting my cards in days and not weeks.  GL.

1 Go to  QRZ.com, log in, and got to SU9VB page.
2. Copy Vlad's email address
3. Log into your PayPal Account
4. Choose "send money"
5. Fill out the required amount and other info.
6. Choose personal - other for the type oif transaction
7. Under message: List the stations and QSO's you want confirmed and list your address.
8. Hit "send money"
9. Send Vlad an email to confirm you sent him the cash.

Hope that helps.
