Most trips to the Maldives are holiday style and I can't blame them because I doubt I'd even bring a rig if I visited the Maldives.  This looks like a full-time expedition. I've worked Pai a bunch of times from India and he is a FB operator. I only know Krish from the forum.

Look for us on 10 meters guys. I've never worked 8Q on 10 meters and the clock is ticking.

73 and have a safe trip,

I hope they have an effective antenna that will generate a good pile up Grin  I need this for an ATNO.

I worked VU4PB. Didn't know Krish was a team member. I'm sure he and Pai will make a good team.

Thank you Mark,
We were blessed with good prop during VU4PB. Hoping for the same this time around.
The recording referred to by Mark were signals from the 500w hercules amp to a 2ele steppir.

We are hoping to see the saltwater do its magic with the verticals right in the water Smiley
The 2ele steppir will be used for 12/10m.

Hoping to work more NA stations.

Hi Daniel,
We are stuck in an island for the week. No evening hangout locations and RF is expensive and so is water,
so it is going to be Dx all along.

Hope to make it to Dayton, but on the fence at this point, since we will be cutting it close on our return back
stateside and it all depends on how the morning Qth situation shapes up.

Hi Krish,

If possible please segregate the callers by continents.  In the case of NA please break it by region like West Coast, etc.  Thank you.

Gerhard OE3GBB was operating as 8Q7BN/MM today and he had a decent signal (55) into Colorado.  He was operating on a boat on a diving expedition.  He didn't use the suffix /MM so there was a big pileup/mob from everywhere.  Once he confirmed that he's on a boat I think the pile up subsided a bit, and that's when I got him.  Although my QSO didn't count for DXCC it does provide me with some optimism on the upcoming dxpedition.

I worked him but I had a feeling it wouldn't count. Somebody asked him what island he was on and he said something to the effect he wasn't on an actual island but a reef. Maybe his English is not so good and he thinks boats and reefs are the same thing.   Wink

I'm really only looking for the Maldives on 10 meters. VU2XO has been putting a good signal into MA on 10 lately so if conditions hold up a 10 meter QSO should be very doable.
