no, No, and NO! It's not a 'Molex' connector. It might look like a 'Molex' connector; it might quack like a 'Molex' connector; it might take pins like a 'Molex' connector, but it is definitely NOT a 'Molex' connector. It might be called a 'Molex-
like' connector, but it isn't a 'Molex' connector.
If called a 'Molex' connector, the myth is perpetuated that it
is a 'Molex' connector, and another inexperienced ham goes looking for a 'Molex' connector that fits. It won't. Period. Not even upside down.

It is possible, however, to fumble the 'Molex-like' Japanese connector into a reverse-polarity condition. That's why there's usually a longish screw just below the female connector on the radio; it prevents the connector from being inverted and inserted with resultant fireworxen und fusenblowen.

It's a common enough connector for earlier Kenwoods, Yaesus
and Icoms. In an unusual fit of uncommon commonality, Yaecomwood all wired them the same (or at least, close enough). Caution is advised when using Kenwood PS-30 power supplies, as Kenwood ran 120 volts on the two 'unused' pins on the connector for remote switching.
As others have suggested, source from either Powerwerx or ebay.
