My guess, based, on the "dangerous and wet" hint, is one of the French Indian Ocean locations (FT/G, FT/J, FT/T).  I seem to recall reading that Glorioso, in particular, was infested with malaria carrying insects.

The French islands are not dangerous except for perhaps insect bites.  One place that is wet and dangerous is Myanmar.  Although I don't know if 'wet' refers to a lot of rain or near water.

Tony,

What rumors are you hearing from Europe?  I'm sure you know something but you just don't want to say anything Wink

Well...sometimes..and somewhere...  Grin

It was 100 degrees yesterday - haven't seen rain for months.  But when it does rain, it pours

Dangerous?  Now if you're talking about the crazy taxi drivers in Yangon, then I fully agree.  Of course, there is ethnic conflict on both western and eastern borders

I read this today on wikipedia.  I guess media censorship is still in effect there Cheesy

Obama's speech was broadcast live via Burmese state television channels but its simultaneous spoken translations was stopped when Obama began speaking about the Kachin Conflict.

The Burmese are just copying the US mainstream media.

How could we wait for the actual QRV when we can't even wait for the announcement Cheesy  This dxpedition might not even happen this year.

Obviously, changes to their original plans have been made already.  I dont think they would have put out a teaser a week ahead of an announcement. Just does not make sense.

I think someone here mentioned that Bernie of Daily DX had dropped a hint or two, perhaps a day or two before Col's  posting on his DX WORLD site.

Hope all is still go....... Roll Eyes (WHENEVER it goes)

I agree Gene. If some press release comes out and it says P5 fox-trot uniform is going to be QRV starting April first. I am going to be pissed.
