I would guess probably KP1.  Wish it was 3C0, 3Y/B, ZD9, or VP8SS.

All of these with the exception of South Shetland have been QRV within the last 5 years. In fact 3C0 and ZD9 were active last year.

I don't think KP1 has been activated in the last 5 years - unless I was in a coma at the time. Sometimes a major expedition doesn't mean its a top 10 entity or that it hasn't been activated recently.

I think he meant South Georgia.  South Shetland is very active and South Orkney was recently activated.

I actually meant South Sandwich, it is the rarest VP8.  I have the other ones.

Which entities haven't been activated in the past 10 years?  The ones I can think of for sure are: KP1, KH5K, VP8SS, VK0H, FR/T, FT/Z, P5, E3, EZ

The couple I am not sure are: PY0T, BV9P

Oops, I forgot about South Sandwich.  As for BV9P the last activation was in 2003.

I guess that I forgot about KH1 in terms of entities not activated in the past 10 years.  I think South Georgia has been, but wouldn't swear to it.

I think it would be foolish to spend a bunch of $$ activating an entity which is ALREADY QRV at least once a month or so. The funds would be much better used on one of the TOP 10 entities which have not been active for 10 years or so.

If my memory serves me correctly, Father Apollo was upset before, and did not like ONE other ham operating from Mt. Athos............ Do you think he would be happy with a team there?
I know he does not run the show at the Monastary (excepting the radio), but I just doubt if.

Obviously, I am biased, having worked the Monk. But, if I can work that one with a wire vertical, how come you guys with your tons of metal up there cant get it done? ITS TIMING....... I got LUCKY and got him before the pileup.  I know it!!  But then again, TWICE?  Nah, had to be a bit of DX MOJO. hi hi

I didn't mean KP1. I meant those that he wished it was. I know KP1 hasn't been active.

ciao Gene

I have prayed and crossed all my fingers because is not Monthe Athos,
very much agree with you. If there is to pull off some money is good to do it with something more substantial,
for europe SV2/A is the same as for you KP4,
Then there is a statement on dxworld of N6PSE that seems to exclude this:

Paul N6PSE says:

I would love to do another fine DXpedition with YT1AD and K3LP. We have been working very hard to get permission to activate rare entities, however the permission has not come to us yet. I’m sorry but we have nothing to announce. We hope that changes soon.

I'm betting it's either KP1 or one of the KH islands in the Pacific under USFW control.

Now that I saw Paul, N6PSE's post, I'm guessing its Tromelin or Amsterdam/St. Paul.

I say this because its been a while since the French team has activated a TAAF or Meteo site.
