Wake, Heard and Amsterdam, if I bag all three, will still leave me 1 shy of Honor Roll. Now if someone can please get their rump to Pratas and or San Felix (either of which should be significantly easier than the aforementioned three), I'd be mighty obliged  Grin Grin Grin

Seriously, though...if true that's great news. Hoping I'm not a poisson d'Avril for believing it!

Amsterdam is a great path from West Coast. Low bands should be especially good.

How so?  Amsterdam is not too far from Marion Island.  Wasn't Marion difficult to work from either coasts?

Amsterdam should be more like FT5XO or FT5WJ - for the West Coast and for morning grey line.

It's a much different path, and almost all water. ZS8M was harder than FT5XO because of the path and antenna difference.

With a $400,000.00 anticipated cost, they will be looking for donations from all of us.  Lets HOPE that the "other DXers" around the world can give some $$ help for a change.  NA alone cannot fund all of these trips..... they need help from around the globe, which is usually very little outside of NA.

I am glad you said NA, instead of only US. I might be one of the few VE's Huh, but I donate to almost operation. I want the DX so I think a donation is well worth the effort. I am still in a position where I can donate, 5 months from now I will be retired but I have tucked away funds just for the DX.

FT5ZM will be the call.

I think my "job" is done! Glad you stuck by and didn't really believe it was an April Fool's joke ;-)

Thanks Col, appreciate the teaser, which shows how hungry everyone is after 2012, one of the most exciting DX years in a long time.

Also shows how  "religiously" we check DX World.

I call that a huge success!
