FIRST......Lesson learned, I should have done my due diligence prior to the purchase but since it appeared to be a legitimate business, I did not give it a second thought.

Cosmetically the Transceiver was in nice condition. However, he told me it operates perfectly & to specification, NOT the case.

Long story short is it needed $300 worth of repairs after using it in the "receive mode only" for a few hours. The receive slowly diminished and stopped. It was repaired by a well known Drake specialist who was a Gentleman & honest.

When I brought this to the infamous Martyn's attention, his reply was "it worked fine when it left here". I fully understand it is not a new Transceiver & things happen during transit but all I wanted to here from Martyn was to send it back & I will repair it. Heck, I would have split the repair cost with him.

As I said, lesson learned!!

Maybe Martyn will give you a Chinese handheld to "make it up" to you.

Once this guy unloads something he doesn't want to see it back.  His "It worked fine when it left here" answer is all you're likely to get from him--no 'warrantees' at all.

BTW, the only one he 'makes it up to' is himself.  Once he's got your money, he doesn't give give a d*mn what you think or say.  There is enough sad stories from hams on the internet to prove that beyond a doubt.

All anyone needs to do is Google Radio Mart then sit back and read the many complaints against that guy. Honestly, how the hell does he stay in business?

Because fools keep buying from this ripoff, He lives by PT Barnum's "There is one born every minute" and seems to make a decent living doing so. Do your Home Work before buying anything from ONLINE DEALERS first.

radio-mart's Amazon.com "feedback is now down to 91% as of 4-20-13.

One of the latest customer comments :

         1 out of 5:
"If you want to deal with someone who does not care about his customers and has poor organization and people skills and answers customer complaints with angry emails then by all means this is they guy. Plus radio was packaged poorly and original box got severely damaged or was that way before shipping. I'll never use his company again."

Sound familiar ?

Don't take my word for it, see: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aag/main?ie=UTF8&asin=&isAmazonFulfilled=&isCBA=&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&orderID=&seller=A3QII02QYZ1XLB

And in today's news , Radio-marts Amazon "feedback" drops to 89% , See the latest customer comments :

    1 out of 5:
"The seller is a fraud. His web site said that he had the item in stock and ready to ship when in fact he doesn't have the product. He manipulates the UPS shipping label to show that the item is shipped when it was not. I did get my refund after confronting him with this. He did the same with a friend of mine. Will not buy from him again"

I am wondering how much longer Amazon will put up with this ?

News for you--he's been going a lot longer than Pinson already.  He's just more stubborn, along with being a bigger scam artist.

He's had more time than Pinson and has mastered the art of scamming, Pinson just got greedy and made the mistake just happen to get caught red handed with his hands in the cookie jar.  RM day in the great spotlight is sure to happen at some point when he makes the fatal mistake finally gets busted for his shenanigans.

That link to his amazon feedback is darn good entertainment. He must be selling to the same Hucksters that he was on Ebay. They keep complaining about him and we all know it is never his fault.

You just have to laugh!  Look at one of the recent feedback--

"5 out of 5:  Great product, even went as far as removing the CD that could have a virus on it. I was going to toss it anyway, but thanks!"

Radio Mart probably took it out to try to sell it separately!  Oh, brother!

I should have researched before ordering from them. . .  Got what I ordered, but it arrived via USPS Priority Mail with $7.41 postage due!  One has to wonder how the Post Office lets a business get away with this.

Look at one of the latest:

--from the Amazon feedback--

1 out of 5:
"item arrived witout extra battery as advertised, no note from seller. I contacted seller who said they would send the battery. 3 weeks later no battery, filed a claim and seller tried to get me to drop the claim before i received the battery. THIS SELLER IS SHADY, I WOULD AVOID. "

Sounds normal--for RadioMart!
