After all, 2 watts across across the atlantic on 14.060 with a wire antenna. I would have been doing hand-springs off the shack walls.
I worked a whole lot of EU QRP stations in ARRL DX CW on 40M while I was running, at least one reporting "1W". And when I run in domestic QRP activities on 40M, I go back and look at spotting results and very often I was spotted all over Europe. Really cool.
There are many many QRP stations in the DX contests that very succesfully run a frequency, both high and low bands. I'm thinking especially of the spectacular GJ2A :-). I will have to go look at the very nice EU 160M openings in some recent tests, I may have worked EU stations on 160M with them at QRP levels.
