After reflecting on this thread, I notice that one other thing wasn't mentioned.  The attitude that the complainer displayed when he first called the shipper.  One thing that would be apparent is simply this--If the person who called up a business displayed an openly hostile attitude from the start, the businessman may well be inclined to be just as hostile and dismissive in his answer.

If, on the other hand, a caller is polite and is simply asking a question, the businessman may well be inclined to be polite and civil in turn.

I have little doubt that the originator of this thread called up with a bad attitude already--simply because of the way he posted here.

Your assumption is exceptional: it only makes an ass out of you, not of me.

I never spoke with the guy because he never answeres the phone and does not call back (no message recording). Emails are answered with one or two court words by email.

My initial contact with him was very supportive, encouraging (to him) and businesslike. None of your BS.
I received affirmative one-liners and was fine with that. Then shit happened.

If he has copies of those emails (like I do), I encourage him to publish them here, so there is no doubt.

And you can quit stalking me now, CJS.

OK, you're on my ignore list.  I won't be "stalking" you--not that I was to begin with.  I simply had another thought to offer.  I won't sign 73, I wouldn't mean it--and you wouldn't accept it.

CJS,

He is correct, you should have just let this Topic die a well deserved death.

With due respect, even if the topic deserves to die, thoughts can still be added.  What I should have done was make it general.  IOW, not target the original poster.  Other than that there is nothing wrong with adding additional thoughts to a thread.  It's done all the time here.
