Sloped-front meter box??

(1/2) > >>

Dave Edwards:
I'm searching for one of those boxes...like you may remember in high school/college lab classes....black wrinkle-paint sloped front box with two banana plugs at the bottom.
Yes, I could get any Bud box or Radio Shack project box (still made??) and use a Greenlee chassis punch for the meter, but I know they were once manufactured...ready to go for the size meter being used. (Ma, V etc).

Might they be available, or should I give up the search from the get-go??

Thanks !!

Dave Edwards:
Yes, exactly!!!
But I have my own uA meter....Perhaps I'll call 'em and ask what the hole cutout is....I could just swap.

Scott Schrader:
the old Bud Metal meter cabinets are no longer made.

you could perhaps pick something suitable from these

http://www.budind.com/small_metal_enclosures.php

any of the three SC-series cabinets would work.

or you can custom-bend your own aluminum cabinet

Probably cheaper to buy it and adapt your meter to fit the case than to find
a case to fit your meter.
