Just saw the phonesats Graham and Bell launch on Nasa TV.

They should be sending down packets on 437.425 MHz using AFSK (1200 bps) modulation and AX.25 packet. In case you weren't aware, these are (I think) the cheapest cube sats ever built. They are using an Android smartphone and a microcontroller with a classic measuring tape antenna. Pretty neat stuff.

and a separate radio (since the Nexus 1 doesn't have a UHF radio).  The phone is used for its sensors and as a flight computer, not for it's radio.  PhoneSat 2 still uses an external radio (S-band).
