Hi All:

Just picked up an IC-255 at the local swapfest.

Anyone have any experience using this radio on packet?

TIA

Well, i guess bythis time you have already tried it. but anyhow, i used it on 1200 baud with pk232 and it works a treat. the "accessory" plug on the back means you dont have tounplug the mic either! I changed the hi/low power switch to be mic/data.

I had this old beasty for well over 10 years and she has never let me down (touch-wood).

damned good rig..built like sherman tank. nice tx/rx audio. only prob is, its soo heavy, it ipped the dashboard outa my mazda when i had it fitted as mobile some years ago. (it now is my base rig)
