Would anyone have the same following issues with the iCOM 765 or suggest solutions?

1. Tuning knob no longer functioning (turns fine but no change in frequency) - but can still tune up and down with the microphone buttons.
2. When power switch turned on, rig takes some minutes before coming to life. Intermittent problem.

It is a wonderful radio, and we would really like to have these problems fixed if possible.

With thanks in advance and VY 73,

Tony 3D2AG (on behalf of Raj 3D2ER)

Offhand, I'd guess the rotary encoder. But there's a list of common problems, fixes, and service info for older Icom equipment at http://www.w0btu.com/classic_icom.html.
