Looks like they uploaded the QSOs to LoTW. My two QSOs showed up.

Ah no. I have 295 with cards in hand and LoTW. I already had a card from ZS8M.

I have one that seems almost impossible to QSL (EP) and 4 I am waiting on - H40, H44, JX, TU. So that means 299 when the QSLs come in. If by some miracle I manage to get a QSL from Iran that will be #300.

Or if I get an ATNO I'll get #300 as well.

Challenge is slowly but surely getting there too. I have 940 in LoTW and about 15 in paper cards. I'm trying to eek out every bandfill I can now. Smiley

I really enjoy the Challenge. I am at about 700 with cards after two and a half years. Not too bad considering my propensity to work too much.  Undecided

There's one EP who's a good QSLer...at $9 per reply, plus registered fees. I worked him twice, quite easily in fact, last month. The big decision for me is do I wait for additional bands? Cuz I'm only going to send this once and wanna make the most of the mailing.

I decided to chase the Challenge about the time I got my 4th band for DXCC. I QSLed everything and am eternally grateful for LoTW now, that's for sure. I'm just a tad under 2600 confirmed and it's been a hell of a ride, lemme tell you! I doubt I'll ever hit the magic 3000 mark but you can bet I'll be fighting for every new point!

The biggest problem with getting to 3000 is you would need a metric shit ton of 6m entities.

Actually Pete, could you please aim for 3208 points. We need the DeSoto cup back in the US!

Yeah I know about Mohsen. I just never manage to get him when he's on.

Remember I'm away from the shack for about 12 hours a day when there's propagation to that region.

Well, I can aim easily enough. Donations toward a 1500W 6m amp and enough land and materials for an 80 and 160m RX antenna farm gratefully accepted Grin.

I looked up what I4EAT's total on 6m is and he "only" has 208. I figured far, far more. I would assume he has 330 or more on most other bands.

He has an advantage because every entity in EU is a chip shot on 6 for them. Africa is not as hard either. It's like how we work states when 6 is open.

In fact I'd say that all of EMEA is easier for them than it is for us.

Yep. 6m and 160m DXing from the US is exponentially harder than from southern or central Europe for that precise reason. From here, I doubt I'll live long enough to get a 6m DXCC. I'm up to 48 worked/46 confirmed current ones on the Magic Band. Not a single opening here yet in 2013 (last two years there was some hints at activity in April/May). Flatter than pee on a plate in '13, plus I've worked just about all the relatively easy ones. It will get hard around 65-70, I suspect and will be decades, if ever, before I hit the century mark. This is with 100W and 5 elements at 37'. An amp would probably get me another dozen this year that I might not otherwise have a shot at, but that's it. Cycle 24 is a complete bust and I just don't see F2 propagation happening this time out.

6m is always going to be tricky for US hams. Some day I will dabble in the band but it seems like an awful expensive band to play in for as few openings as there are.

My friend Leon 9Z4BM got DXCC on 6. Well not officially. He hasn't sent the cards yet. The propagation down there lends itself to openings on 6 a lot more frequently.

I put up a 7 element 6m beam and bought a 6m rig. To be honest it has been mostly a waste of time and I wish I hadn't bothered.
