Hi, I've been asked to program a bunch of alinco DR-605 radios for a local EOC. Problem being, I'm not doing it manually, i flat refuse. I have a dos program for doing that but when I use that and a serial cable that has worked with other alinco radios and icom radios in the past, it won't communicate with these radios. I'm using an old windows 98 laptop I use for a lot of my programming activities. Is there a newer version of software I can try for this? Can anyone tell me if there's something I need to do? I'm connecting through the external speaker jack as I should be so far as I know. Can anyone help on this one? Thanks. John

Hey OM:
There is a cloning cable you can make it or buy it.
Then you need to manually program one radio.
Go to the cloning section in the menu system
and start cloning from the radio that is manually programmed

I only post this 'cause there maybe others out there looking.
