A ++++ for Land Air Communications.  I went to power up my Yaesu FT-890 AT and nothing, completely dead.  I opened it up (after checking the power supply) to see if there was something obvious in the power entry section, but found nothing obvious.  I powered it up while open and the front panel lighted but audio was completely dead, no hiss, no nothing.

I contacted Hal at Land Air, and never having dealt with Land Air before, I was pleasantly surprised when Hal started asking questions, and he spent the time to help me troubleshoot over the phone, and did not demand that I send the radio in and pay shipping both ways for a simple repair.  I was able to find and repair the fault with his guidance.

This is just plain great service and gives me great confidence for sending a radio in for repair when the solutions are more complicated.  Check out their website (landaircom.com).  They are obviously there to help and are not in it just for the money.

I think good companies and people need to be touted more.
