I'm looking at buying a used Yaesu 100DX desk mic and I'm wondering if it will work on a Yaesu FT-897D radio? Any help will be appreciated.

There's a basic rule:

. . . Any low-impedance dynamic mic will work for any rig that expects a low-impedance dynamic mic.

So the answer is:

. . . Yes, it'll be OK.
