I admit, I'm old-fashioned. I like QSL cards.

For me, the winner in the cool QSL competition, if there is one, is XR0YG. Grin

Any other entries?

Ain't gonna get that one for a long time. I was away from home the week he was QRV.  Sad

Once I send for mine, I will agree SV2ASP/A is the best card of all time. I never thought I would work him either. Better to be lucky than good.  Grin

Hi,

Not just this year, but my "ever best" was from King Hussein JY1, with goldleaf on it.

Are we talking about rarity or the actual physical card?
No way SV2 is a great looking card, it's just about average.

I agree, my most prized QSL was from the Late King Hussein, JY1.

VU7M is the coolest. Only 300 or so to work them from NA.

I was talking about the physical QSL card, but "coolest" also includes rarity.

When I think of the coolest cards I also think of the coolest contacts.  I have a few.

Most unusual contacts and QSLs
T6 via PSK31 on 17m
I5KAP/qrpp running only 25mw on 10m

Most challenging contacts from CO propagation wise
3A2MD via LP on 20m
SV2ASP/A on 40m
ZS8Z via LP on 20m
AP2ALI on 20m

Breaking the mother of all pile ups
S01MZ on 15m SSB simplex!

Most unusual stations answering a CQ DX
RI1ANU
KC4AAA

This year:

SV2ASP/A - I like the design - its "mystical" just like the op and entity, and it put me on the HR

and

KZ5VV - Canal Zone - ATNO #336 for a QSO I made in 1974, but only just received a month or so ago.

All time best QSL - one of Vlad's - UA4WHX. He has so many great ones its hard to pick.

Vlads cards are all awesome. And the ease and reliability of getting them is awesome.

Coolest cards for me this year so far have been ZS4TX, confirming a new zone on 160m, and PT7/PY2ZEA confirming a new entity on 160m (card received just yesterday for a February 2009 QSO).
