Never mind, I found the answer on another site. The answer is yes, just make sure the charger mod was done.
OK, as an aside:
I have two older, simple 2m HT's (Yaesu FT-170's) that I
use primarily for camping *and* like to have
on hand for emergencies.
I have the "AA" battery holders for both HT's
and currently keep Hi Capacity NmHi AA's charged
in a separate generic regular charger for them.
(Plus a big
pile of alkaline cells from Costco in the Fridge).
I have seriously *considered* in investing in AA Lithium
batteries. But I have heard that I can NOT
use my "regular" NiCad/NmHi charger with Lithium AA cells.IS this true?
1) If so, can you recommend a good brand of charger
for *Rechargeable Lithium batteries* (preferably for
ALL sizes (AAA, AA, C, D, 9v, etc) IF I go that route?
2) Can a charger designed for *Rechargeable Lithium Batteries*
ALSO be used for my stock of NiCAD (not many) and NmHi batteries?
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, gents.
I think at this point it's patently obvious that
I am pretty clueless about batteries......
