I have been a Ham for the last three years. The first couple of years I have had a great opportunity to use my campus's station, but since graduating I have had to sell most of my gear to pay student loans. Things have stabilized a bit, but I am putting a call out to any Ham who is willing to help. I want to get on the air badly, but with no gear that is hard. If any one is will to donate a non-working or working rig that I can at least enjoy the chatter on the air would be great. I have a little to zero budget to work with. If you have questions just send me a message and I would be happy to answer.

I know many amateur radio operators to take care of there own, and It is this time that I could use some help.

If I were in your situation, I'd go to arrl.org and look for clubs using your Zip Code in your region. There should certainly be a club around you that will welcome you, and possibly have a rig to loan to you for a while.

People who live nearer to you have a more "vested interest" in your ham happiness ...
