I am REALLY confused on this one.  After looking at the ARRL website and the website for this USCG 223rd anniversary special event, I came away with the notion that the callsign K1CG was going to be used all over the nation.  I thought it was a misunderstanding or misprint of some sort, since I wondered about the legality of passing around a single callsign from one end of the country to the other; often operating simultaneously.

But that is exactly what happened today.  And how confusing!  I didn't know if the station that I was hearing was a location already worked, or a new city and state!

Was there a special waver K1CG obtained to be able to operate several stations/locations at once??
