I'm also still waiting on the January and February issues of CQ Magazine. I did receive the December Issue in late January. My subscription is up April 2014. I don't plan on renewing. I emailed just before replying here about the late issues, we'll see how that goes.

It is now March 4. I received the Dec issue in Jan. Still waiting for the Jan, Feb, and Mar issues.
Sub is up in June. Don't plan on renewing if this continues.

Even their digital edition is behind.  I just checked the Zinio app on my iPad and they're showing through the February issue...

I received August issue, the received December issue mid January 2014. Renewed my subscription and haven't received an issue yet. The company claims they have done some "re arranging" so I suspect they'll go under like all the other decent radio magazines. The did extend my subscription another 3 months, that won't do much good if they go belly up.

The email reply from CQ looks to be a "rote" PDF file.

BEGIN:

Attention CQ Subscribers!

We are still experiencing delays with our January and February print editions.

Mail delivery is scheduled for March - followed shortly thereafter by a combined March/April issue of CQ . The combined March/April issue will only count as ONE issue of a subscription term.

Because of this change, both the SSB and CW results of the 2013 CQ World Wide DX Contest will be published in the May issue of CQ.  Your Patience is appreciated.

Please note!  Subscribers can access the January and February issues via the links below......

Please accept our sincere thanks for your patience during our recent transition.

END:

###

Yada yada yada....  this should be posted on the front page of their web site.

Ham Radio Now Episode 136: CQ Magazine Update ('What the heck?')

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ok7RfQStPjg&list=UUxqXFK9ETC5CWEdDD-_HpqA

"CQ Magazine has been AWOL from mailboxes since the December issue. Yes, there's been trouble in Hicksville, and CQ editor Rich Moseson W2VU joins Gary in this episode to talk about what and why, and what the future holds for CQ. Oh, and the January issue is in the mail!"

It's in the Mail? (Again)

Personally I quit......last issue I received was December. Two inquiries to Subscription Dept went unanswered, one directly to W2VU finally (and I mean finally, a week later) brought a (lip service only, and not even a good job of that) response. My business experience tells me they are bankrupt, perhaps no one told them yet, but they have screwed up big time, and likely for the last time. It's 73 for me (and at least Wayne Green....73, get it?....told us the truth)................VE3LR

I talked to the folks at CQ magazine and they are /were having some problems at the magazine.  We all should have received the January issue by now and the next will be a February/March combined issue and then the next should be a April issue and they will be back to normal by then.  At least that is what they said.   So hang in there and it will be caught up eventually. Apparently there were some financial issues they had to work through or something.  I don't remember what  they said was the exact problem.

It will be interesting to see if (CQ) they go to Dayton this year.......

Well, according to the Dayton Hamvention 2014 vendor booth assignment summary page at

LINK: http://www.pcboard.ca/hamvention2014/indoor_vendors.php

... the two booths reserved remains UNPAID as of 4.4.2014 update. See bottom of page
in the light gray color for Unpaid vendors

"CQ Communications, Inc.   HA0074 HA0075   Reserved and Unpaid"

Interesting!

I can't help feeling that maybe VE3LR is right, even though CQ have taken on a new advertising manager.

April 17......still only have received January issue........email promised to catch up by now......no dice! Speculate that either financial problems, poor management or combo of both. My two year subscription looks like poor investment at this time....hope I am wrong! Anyone else able to share info on situation?

I feel HORRIBLE about CQ.

CQ cared propagation predictions, IOTA, and articles not published elsewhere.  I'd horribly miss that.

My hope is that it survives....yet, it seems that the downward spiral is earthbound.

Sad.  I hope it survives.

It would take a business miracle.
