I have an ICOM IC-718 transceiver and want to connect the line-out of my PC soundcard to the ACC input Pin on the IC-718.  Can the IC-718 input connector take the audio source directly, or will I need to pad the signal down, using the technique described in many digital interface kits?

The speaker output on the soundcard can be over 1 volt, that is a lot to feed into the ACC jack, best use a "pad" to be on the safe side.
