I am looking to find an application that will import the resulting duplexed scan and present it to a human to type in the file name.
Received an e-mal from an eHam reader advising me to try RansenSCAN http://www.ransen.com
. Look promising. Will advise on the outcome.

I downloaded the RansenSCAN demo and gave it a try. Naming files is no easier than using the software supplied with my printer/scanner and IrfanView (freeware) for a graphic program. The ONLY advantage I see is the 'sub-image' feature. In your case, using the document feeder with duplexer, I see no advantage at all.
I have taken the process one step further and have written a program in Paradox (a relational database management system) that allows me to enter data into a searchable database including: QSL Images(s), Call Sign, Date, Time, Band, etc.. My next goal is to reproduce this functionality using Liberty Basic.
