My very first ham radio experience, back in the early 1950's, was at the West Philadelphia Radio Club. I remember that it had a shack in the Cassidy Elementary School, it had Collins equipment and it had a 20 meter beam on the roof. The club was very active in civil defence activities. I vaguely remember that the president was named Al Jarrett or something like that. Can any one provide me with more information about this club and/or OP?
