I bought one of ebay.  I cannot do a reset on it and I cannot store frequencies in the memory.  When I bring up memory channels, I cannot scroll past M00.  Any ideas or suggestions?

Have you tried :

Full reset: hold [SQL] & [VFO] & [MR] buttons and turn the radio on.

Glad you figured it out - that is a classic HT!

Batteriesamerica.com has replacement battery packs ... and I think they still offer an empty 6-cell AA cell pack for it, too.

I got it for satellite work.   I think your website even mentioned it.  I used an MFJ ht antenna and I can hear SO-50, weak but readable.  Next step is to get the antenna set up.  I am going to use an Arrow dual band.  My apartment faces west and with the trees, I do not have much of a window.

Make sure the BNC antenna connector is tight.  Mine loosened up and I inadvertently twisted off the connection to the PC board.  Repairing it was a total PITA!  Mine finally failed with a defective display.  Otherwise, this is a GREAT radio for satellites.

Randy - watch the LIVE OSCAR STATUS  page, and see when the ISS is active on packet - even if you are not decoding or transmitting the data, it is fun to track the ISS as it whizzes by! It will also let you know if your setup is all right - time/date/longitude-latitude, et al for whatever tracking program or sat pass source you are using.

You've got the bug! And with 61 birds being deployed in the next few hours, there's going to be a lot to monitor and work!
