OK, just got one. So far, I like what I am seeing and hearing. First SW radio with SSB. Love the size. And the AM is not as weak as some of the reviews, which leads me to believe that the earlier versions may have been updated/improved/fixed.

I am doing a crude AM comparison side by side with a PL-310. So far on AM DX, I can say they are about equal. The Sync detector makes a nice difference. More testing to follow.

At least with my Flex-5000, sync really helps copy weak noisy longwave broadcast stations. The new 880 is said to not have sync detection.  

How does yours copy CW and SSB?

Have not tried CW. I do not do CW. It also does not have a CW selection. But, I will try it for you and reply back.

FWIW, I work Saturdays in HRO Delaware, and tried it in there with a wire antenna, and I picked up 10 and 20M signal inside the store. Not bad considering it is a huge Faraday cage.
