This is some QRP fun.  I have a sked with a friend of mine who is well over 800 miles distant.  We use QRP to QRP from home & out camping.  Nothing unusual about that.  However, sometimes a fellow just NEEDS to go to the coffee shop . . .  Which is what my friend did more than a few times for our sked, bringing along his BuddiStick, tiny MTR QRP kit transceiver, to keep our sked while he gets caffeinated - good signals too!

Here's a video with much more detail of him operating "Java Portable" while my 2-3 Watts is arriving at his /java QTH.  (  XXXXX/java)

My understanding is that there is a SOTA summit in CA where one can activate from a Taco Bell!

Re: W7ASA

You just opened up a whole new niche in in QRP/P, the only problem now is I'll never know if I have a SummitsOTA or a StarbucksOTA contact Huh although MOTA (McDonalds) will be no problem.
