The HF bands are full of stations calling CQ TEST, but I have no idea which one. The WA7BNM contest calendar only shows Lighthouse Christmas Lights QSO Party and Croatian CW Contest now.

Sure, why not? If you are just copying 5NN and a serial number, that would be the Croatian contest.

If the ice storm hadn't taken down one of the two elevated radials on my 160m inverted-L, I'd be in the contest, too.
