I received a set for my birthday. These have a stereo/mono switch. I tried them on my HF rig and switched between mono and stereo, but couldn't hear a difference. They do work well, though. I love the adjustable volumes for each of the two headphones. What I am wondering is are these really mono headphones or would I be better off investing in a more expensive pair of mono headphones to really dig out those weak signals? Anyone have a comparison test? Just curious. Thanks. ag5t

I doubt your HF rig has an actual stereophonic audio amplifier.  Try connecting the 'phones to an iPod or some other stereo source.

As far as using them for communications, I really wouldn't.  Why have headphones with 15Hz - 25KHz response when your comm stuff is centered around 300Hz - 3KHz?
