I just started using plane wave ex in NEC2. My goal is to illuminate an antenna, say a simple dipole with a plane wave and compute the antenna impedance. I know via reciprocity I could just analyze the same antenna in the transmit case and obtain this metric. I however want to analyze the antenna in the receive case and then compare my results with the transmit case. One problem is that I don't know the magnitude of the PW incident on the antenna in NEC2 since I do no see an option for specifying the field strength in the NEC2 EX card. My receive antenna in this case is terminated in an impedance. Any suggestions will be much appreciated.
