The Prison under the Cathedral on the air

In 1992, machinery employed in conservation work, fell through the surface of a well known Cork Cathedral, what they uncovered was an opening into the underground cells of an old Prison which had been sealed for almost 100 years.

This February the 8th North Cork Radio Group (www.ei1nc.com) will Kick off the new years activity with "Cobh Cathedral Bells, Crypt, Bridewell Prison and Lusitania Tour". Join us on air and learn about the fascinating history of St Colemans Cathedral in Cobh, the Bells and Crypt.

The History of the Bridewell Prison under the Cathedral Road and the RMS Lusitania's sinking. Special QSL cards will be available as always via the Buro.

Are you local?? Pop down and see us Activity Starts at 11 AM and everyone is welcome to attend.

Note... "Tours are provided by John Flynn and staff of "Cobh Town Tours" and usual tour prices will apply" further details available http://cobhtowntours.com/
