Hi all, I had a computer meltdown. After dumping the computer back to factory defaults I installed Windows 8.  I have all programs running and connecting to all my equipment. There is on exception. I cannot figure out how to connect my Flex 5000 to HRD. I have the VAC cables all set up.
My problem is when you open HRD and go to make a new preset I have to define a port for he'd to connect to the radio. Do I need am additional program to make an additional virtual port. He'd connects log book, dm780 all just fine. I just can't get hrd to connect to the radio. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Russ

Yes, you have to define a virtual serial port pair using com0com, N8VB or Eltima or similar.

I use 5/15 for CAT control and 4/14 for PTT
