hello

I am facing a problem
I justgot my sound card interface from USA yesterday.
I am using  windows XP desk top machine.
the moment i start opening DIGIPAN, the rig goes to transmit mode and remains there for ever.

I am failed and dispapointed.

Can any body help me to identify the problem
the sound card interface uses RTS as the PTT, the same option is given in DIGIPAN. all the setting seems to be ok. but i think windows XP is keeping the RTS line on high state after boot up.
But I have no idea how to bring it off after boot up???

Thanks

Usually this problem keys the transmitter at Windows boot up and works correctly while DigiPan is running. If it really only keys the transmitter while DigiPan is running then I suspect that one of the DigiPan settings is not correct. Perhaps RTS or DSR set to "always on".

If its keying up as soon as you start Windows then its the Windows issue. There was a little program around that that ran from the autoexec.bat file and set the RTS and DSR lines low early during the boot process. Perhaps someone can tell you where to find it. I think the problem first occured with WindowsME. The later versions of WindowsXP only key the transmitter momentarily during boot up - at least that's what I've seen.

Another solution is to keep the radio off (or the PTT line disabled) until after you have DigiPan running.
