Many years ago (1955) when I first got my novice ticket there was an organization called the Confederate Signal Corps. Does anyone know if it still exists?

When I was a young ham in the early '60s I belonged to the Confederate Signal Corps in East Point, GA.  All the regular members held the rank of colonel and the officers were generals.  The club call was W4VTA and still shows up on QRZ with the trustee as KA4KRN in Riverdale, GA.  Several years ago, if memory serves, the CSC used to have a hamfest in Madison, GA but haven't had one in years, as far as I know.  Don't know if the club is still active or not.

This is NOT a thread necro-bump.

The fellow (k4hsv) with that item on his call sign (club call sign (?) is Confederate Signal Corps.  There is no direct internet connection so I will try snail mail next.

If there is no one actively promoting and growing this organization I would like to know.

Some SCV folks may want to help in the spirit of the 150th Anniversary of The US Civil War to call attention to civil war history, civil war battles, battlefields, and history interest before the anniversary is over next year.

It would be nice to revitalize the spirit of the group.
