You cant be king  if your transmitter walks around in peasant clothing!

No mention of the transmitter IMD performance or the phase noise performance on TX. I wonder how any amateur transceiver can have such a good receiver yet have such a power PA with poor IMD. Will pre-distortion  be an option.  The HPSDR will be put it ahead of the flex in terms of having the cleanest possible transmitter. I find it ironic that
you mention that "embassy radios" require 50 volt PA's and better IMD performance however such a cheap short cut was taken  on the ham transmitter. The transmitter requirements for the amateur are more onerous than that would be required by emabassy or commercial HF service. The new standard for commercial SSB will be -40db below PEP for 3rd order. Digital transmission methods are driving the move towards better IMD standards.

I would have  bought a  Flex6000 series radio if it had a better transmitter  and PA amplifier. Such an expensive radio with a PA that not better than a CB radio is a disgrace and a poor reflection on Flexradios technical  understanding of the importance of transmitter performance. What good is a high speed real time bandscope and all you will be doing is watching splatter peaks from all the filthy ham transmitters?

Scott N8MSA wrote this review and will not likely see your feedback posted here.  He did setup a place to provide feedback though on the site where the review is posted.

FYI, according to FlexRadio (The Flex Insider, Nov. 1, 2013), transmitter IMD performance for the Flex 6500/6700 is -45 dB 3rd Order IMD (dB PEP).

Also, Flex has confirmed on the FlexRadio Community that the Flex 6000 transceivers are manufactured with an internal RF tap to directly support adaptive digital predistortion. Flex expects to develop the necessary software routines to implement adaptive predistortion later in the SmartSDR development cycle.

In addition to the SDRZone, here is another source for comments and feedback on the Flex 6000 radios.

I also doubt the casual reader of this thread is going to run over to Yahoo and join this group just to read the two links you posted.

Hi Guy,
Sorry I was probably not very clear.  The Yahoo forum is dedicated to the FlexRadioSmartSDR software and 6000 series radios.  The forum has many posts, photos, files etc about the radio.  In addition to the official FRS community, the Yahoo forum and other sites like SDRZone and user blogs are all good places to get more information.
