Lightning struck the ground and zapped my Icom 718 that was grounded. Does anyone know where to send it to get it fixed? I live in Georgia USA.

Sorry to hear about the 718. I have three of them and yet to need to send one away for any repair work. I have had good results with Burghardt's in Watertown south Dakota on both an Ic R75 and an RCI 6m rig. Not the fast turn around but very reasonable and honest.
I understand the fellow in Michigan does about the best Ic work to be found and I am sure if you do a web search for Icom Radio Repair that you will locate him. If not contact Universal Radio in Columbus, phone call is best, and they will give you the info you need since they refer Ic work to him as well... They are an Ic dealer too.   73

That's exactly why grounding is not a good idea. Unhook Power and Antenna when not in use to avoid it next time. Every claim that comes to me, the owner states "The antenna and power was unhooked and it was grounded"

Most typical "hammy" grounds are worthless and actually add to the risk that it WILL get hit because of resistance paths.

I repair piles of 817's , if it was hit , its pretty much gone...
