Hello all.

I have a PERFECT Mac iBook SE (the graphite "clamshell" model)...it has 10.4.11 on it currently (by way of Xpostfacto).  I only use it for contest scoring with the RUMped program.  It works quite well, and I'm OK with it just in this capacity.

That being said, I was looking around at some PPC distros of Linux...Debian PPC and Lubuntu specifically.  Has anyone converted an older Mac in this way?

Did that on an old G4 Pismo , loaded Ubuntu 9 something on it. I can say it did work but it clearly ran slower then hhen 10.4.11 that was on it before. I love Linux but on Apple hw its not ready for prime time.

Ok....thank you for the honest input. Looks like OSX is staying put.
