So, Saturday, I'm monitoring 20m PSK31 traffic while I do other things on the computer.  All of a sudden, HRD reports that it lost the serial connection to the radio.  Figuring it's just one of those "Windows things", I reboot the computer, but HRD still can't access the radio.  Over a serial connection that's worked just fine for over two weeks.  To an FT-450 that I've been using with it for over three years. (I just moved the HRD installation from one computer to another.)  Testing shows the audio coming through to the computer just fine, with numerous PSK31 streams audible.  Further testing shows that FREE450 and FTBCAT can't access the radio, either.  Ironically, the next step is to try the USB-Serial adapter, since it's been using a real COM port from the motherboard.  I just hope the problem is the serial port, and not the CAT interface on the radio.

Sorry, I just needed to vent.
