I recently acquired an FT-8900 w/ the RTS software from another ham.  After testing that the radio functioned as expected, I did a factory reset.  Then I made up a spreadsheet of memories from my FT-7900 (I have the FTB-7900 software for that) and loaded into the RTS software.  Cloning went smoothly with the meter progressing on the radio in concert with the progress bar on the PC and I got the beep at the end.  All looked good, I restarted the radio, but none of the memories were set.  It still looked fresh from the factory reset.

Am I missing something in the process?

Thanks

Did you download from the radio FIRST, SAVE that datafile, then import the data to that file? Many programming software packages need you to download from the radio first - THEN perform the programming.
