Shills are nothing new, we see them here on eham all the time. DXLab, and Flexradio shills come to mind immediately. Interesting article  Cheesy.

Reminds me of the (now classic) "Andre's Free laptop" series of articles that appeared in the old 'Microsoft Watch' columns around 2008. The story went that someone allegedly got a free laptop from a certain software company and would post over the top 'positive' reviews of the software, using terms like "rich features" and "a loved OS".
