Just fooling around the HF bands and I hear WWV on 25 MHz right now.

It doesn't count!  That was too easy!  Where was the pileup?

You need to suffer, I tell you.

There was a HUGE pileup. I could barely hear him due to so many SWL listeners on WWV's frequency!  Cheesy

Why do some people think it has to be a beatdown to be enjoyable or satisfying?  Tongue

Because all DXers are, on some level, masochists?  Some just take it to different extremes than others.

Because we understand that very little that is truly worthwhile comes without hard work.

You say "hard work," I say suffering! Smiley

In all seriousness, while I obviously do not enjoy the cuts, burns, bleeding, smashed fingers, ticks, mosquitoes, poison ivy... it does make the eventual victory all the sweeter.  I do think something must be a little wrong with you to sign up for that in a world with Facebook and email.

That being said, I feel we all ought to be free to choose our handicap in this fine hobby.
