We're refurbishing our CERT trailer with new radios and will devote one monoband VHS radio to APRS.
We'll be ordering the Alinco DR-135T, the T2-135 board from Argent, and the Deluo GPS with the adapter for the Alinco DR-135T. We'll be soliciting the club members for a used laptop. We want to use the laptop for displaying maps and units locations (we have room for this in the trailer, and the display will be larger than one of the small displays available).
Do you know if we can plug the laptop into the Alinco's rear DB-9 port (the Deluo plugs into the front port)? Will this setup work the way we want it to or do we need to make some changes? What software for the laptop?
Many thanks...
Carl AJ4DW

Yes you can plug the GPS tor the front of the radio and the PC in the back.
But there is at least two generations of the DR-135.
Gen. 1. The mini jack in the fornt has gps data in ant out.
Gen. 2. The mini jack has GPS data in and 5V.
