Does the TT4 pass through the GPS Data? Reply
by KC5COF on June 21, 2009 Mail this to a friend!
I am working on a mobile APRS setup with a laptop, GPS III, and TT4 and need to know if the TT4 passes on the GPS data to the computer so I can use it for another program.

If not, I will just have to get another USB-Serial adaptor and split off the data from the GPS.

The config program for the TT4 allows the computer to accept NMEA sentences from the GPS. Byonics has a ready made DB9 splitter cable.
