Telemetry results from two jumps Sat:
Format:date time call > path :/lat /long/ Heading /speed /A=alt
http://aprs.fi/?c=raw&call=AF6IM-7
A few glitches and missed data packets but not bad for first experiment.
You can follow the altitude progression on one jump from about 14,500 down. Opened chute high to give max hang time for radio comms. Fantastic views, Pacific, Bay, Delta.
Pulse oximeter interface will be ready in about two weeks. Have to build a data parser/converter for it. Thanks to Scott, founder of Argent Data and Michael KI6QNZ for their continuing work on our APRS gear.
Will be making a high altitude ham radio jump in late Oct from at least 18000 ft and possibly 24000 ft if we can get FAA clearance.
Will be using oxygen gear on that jump.

Pulse oximetry data worked great on APRS during HAHO skydives. Data was received over 50 miles away without using digipeaters (we operated off the main APRS freq to avoid clogging it with our 5 second updates during the jumps on Oct 10 2009).
My resting pulse rate is in the high 60s. APRS telemetry reported my pulse rate at between 150 and 159 during the jumps. So much for not being scared after 41 years of skydiving. Adenaline obviously was flowing... or maybe it was just the excitement of working pileups on 2M simplex?
SpO2 (blood oxygen levels) ranged from 93-97. Unremarkable.
