I don't have an ap per se, I use www.aprsmobile.com on my Blackberry...I have a bookmark for the site where the search box comes up, and a few other bookmarks with the ssid's embbedded in them for instant access to their individual locations.

I saw some packets from M1ELR-2 that contained the comment "APRS via Blackberry": http://aprs.fi/?c=raw&call=M1ELR-2 . I'd be interested to know more, since I've been thinking about getting an iPhone to run the rather flaky iBCNU but perhaps there are better alternatives.

Not per say - there is an app call midpssh which is a telnet/ssh client for the blackberry and other smart phones. it is free and I think it is open source.

Anyways, I can use that to telnet into dcc.openaprs.net - which is a direct connection to openaprs - it works, and there is a lot you can do!

You will need to read the dcc.openaprs.net site to understand how it works.

I have contacted a couple of app developers to see if they would be interested in making an aprs app, so far not much luck.

But midpssh is a place to start.
