Well it seems I have found the solution to my problems!
(I made several threads on this forum regarding getting HF on a CC&R condo so I am posting this message on all of them to pass the message for those who wanted me to update them on my situation so pardon the repeat)
I know that many people run a dipole in their attic and me, being on the top floor with a flat roof, I've been thinking about a wire along my ceiling.
At the suggestion of a ham from HRO I ran a 100 foot wire along the edges of my condo. One end started at the longwire connection of my antenna tuner (Palstar) and the other end ran to the ground post of the tuner. I made a jumper between the longwire post and I have a loop now. Not a vertical magnetic loop but a full size loop.
It works decently. I'm getting S-9 signal reports on 40 and 75 meters with only 100 watts!
I plan on putting the wire on the edges of the ceiling soon but with a little twist thanks to another suggestion from a fellow Ham.
How about THIS idea?...
Make the wire 120 feet long instead of 100 feet. This will be the perfect length for 40 meters. Since a 75 meter loop should be 240 feet and my wire is only going to be 120 feet, CUT the wire at 60 feet and place an insulater inbetween so I have a dipole for 75 (60 feet each leg) and then when I wanna talk on 40 etc, put a little jumper with alligator clips to reconnect the split wire. It seems it would work. Just that the 'balun' is at the tuner instead of where it usually is./ Will this work you think?

Sounds like a plan to me, you might get more action if you post this under tower talk. This forum is usually a place for legal discussions etc. not the technical aspect of antennas, its misleading I know. Good luck in any event. Loops are great antennas!

It's more that this forum has been dead for a week or two so everyone stopped reading!
Glad you've got a good setup going!
