Great pictures and story. I have never been to Dayton and due to health problems I probably will never be able to go. I had a dream one time of going but then I got lost and couldn't find my way home.
Thanks for the article.

You turned a trip to Dayton into a wonderful journey to small part of our great country. Nice pictures too!

How did a flamer like K5END end up with an article on Eham. Goes to show you this site know who butters their bread.

Thanks for the photos, especially the Glen Miller-related ones.
I've never been to Dayton, but who knows, maybe next year.

Actually I think this is the 5th one; or 4th. I dunno.
I have a couple more almost ready. One of these is rather technical so I want to proofread it a few hundred times more before I submit it. The other is an article on a project of another Ham. I have his permission, but I need to get him to proofread it for accuracy before I submit it.
Look for them within a few weeks, pending acceptance by eham.
Thanks for the compliments. My favorite photo above is the "YL club" reading fashion magazines and romance novels in the stadium seats while their Dayton-fixated OM browse the Hamvention. That image in the Hamvention context is a keeper.

Nice article.
Attended the AT&T School in Dublin, Ohio and visited Patterson AFB but have never been to Dayton.
