Walter Cronkite, KB2GSD Gravely Ill: Reply
by W6EM on June 20, 2009 Mail this to a friend!
When I think of Mr. Cronkite, I am reminded why freedom of the press is one of our most cherished Constitutional rights.

He had the courage to challenge our leaders when it was necessary. When what they wanted us to believe wasn't the truth.

Just where would we be today if Mr. Cronkite hadn't been there, telling us each evening "and that's the way it is.......?"

Thank you, Mr. Cronkite, for your lifetime of service and your patriotism.

73,

Lee
