Now that is one slick Idea.. I have a whole tool box in my shack and this replaces it. Where do you keep parts like connectors and plugs etc., that you use often? 73 tom N6AJR

Yes, very slick. Now if the tools would just stay in the organizer and not hide under schematics, note books, chassis and cables. For parts storage I use "organizers" with clear plastic bins, available at Home Depot, etal. and hang them on the wall over the workbench. Try to get one with large bins. Jim

Another nice one, George! Next month, how about a plug-in alarm module to the "dog house" tool holder that would sound when the XYL swipes the needle-nose for a bracelet project! (Since she got into jewelery making, I have no tools left to organize!) Great job. Terry, WØFM

Ultra cool. I have owned so many JENSON tool kits. No matter how many pallets, all the tools never stay in place. Entropy has always played havoc with my tool kits. I can never find the tool I need when i want. I just might try your DOG-HOUSE aproach

Wow, Deja Vu! I built one EXACTLY like this a few months back, except mine is larger and made of 2"x2" wood strips and 3'x4' peg board on both sides. Instead of the rubber feet, I used casters. It now rolls on the floor beside me within easy reach. The top section is about 1 foot wide and holds a cordless drill, hacksaw and small vise. Great idea! 73 KE6PKJ

Very nice. I built something similar about 40 years ago, but used hard maple framing and 1/8" hard masonite. Mine was a tad larger, and had a handle looping over the top so I could carry it from one workbench to another, or into the house to work on something in the house. Remember, 40 years ago, very few radios were small and light enough to carry anywhere, so the workbench had to be portable! The concept sure looks cleaner when made out of aluminum. AM
